The Story Continues....

Long long time ago, in Ang Mo Kio, we were happily married. We wanted a new member immediately without any delay. 1 year passed.... 2 years passed..... 3 years passed.... No news, relatives keep nagging into our ears during CNY and gatherings. I just feel like going off oversea to avoid such occasion. From there, we decided to seek Western Medication, they get to check on both of us and I am ok. The problem lays with my Husband's Sperm, it is low sperm count and activity level is low. It means zero chance, "Sorry Hubby, to dig your old wound but you are perfect now". The specialist suggest to operate on my husband to increase the chance, it is not a 100% solution and the operation set on a few days before CNY. I strongly disagree and prefer to seek the natural path.

From that period, we already know Ray and Siok Khoon, 2 wonderful person from OurPlaceInternational. They believe that NATURAL HEALING can be acheived through Fasting, Sunlight, Pure Eating and Love. Cool huh, check your health conditions just by looking into your EYES. Then they suggested that he goes through 10 days of eating well and cleaning Bowel, followed by 2 days juice fast, 1 day fruits diet, 1 day 100% raw and also follow certain eating habit in the future. He also cut off coffee, chilli and no tight pants or underwear, blah blah blah....As for me, I went for 5 days fasting camp in Malaysia. 3 days water fast, 1 day juice fast, 1 day fruits diet.






I also changed to a less stressful job. And *pop*, a child come to us after 1 year. Once I know I have a life inside me, I change my diet totally to vegetarian. How do I eat and what do I do during pregnancy? I will share with you in my future blog... Anyone fallen asleep ZZZZzzzzz..... Ganna get back to some food talk, stay tuned.

Cheapest Nutritious Juice


Can you guess which fruit juice is the cheapest? Yeah, the WATERMELON....At this moment of time, I can only see this as the cheapest juice according to the price in Singapore market. I bought one medium/small watermelon for just $3 from MCP supermart and start working with it on my indispensible single auger juicer. Hmm, maybe I should explain what is single auger juicer(masticating juicer), as you can see from the picture, you can push the fruits from the top and the worm gear will bring the fruits in and crush them to get the juice out with a slow speed.

Why we need a slow speed one? Isn't a normal centrifugal juicer good enough? It is said that the centrifugal juicer has high speed that will create friction when you juice the fruits and in turn generate heat that will oxidize the juice faster and nutrient level will be lower. You cannot store the juice like masticating juicer do but you drink juice is better than not drinking any, right? For a start, centrifugal is good enough, I bought a cheap one for $39 and last me for 1~2 years.

Ok, back to the juice topic, for 3 dollars I can juice 5 bottles of Lock Lock airtight 300ml container with so little pulps, each cup only cost me $0.60 WoW @@ Hmm, some of you might ask "How about the washing up and juicing time? Thinking of washing and the time spent, I rather order from Fruit stall or buy from Supermarket.... Yeah, it is true but I personally prefer FRESH and I know how I make it. I drank some juice diluted before and it spoilt my mood, it is not cheap too. One pointer, concentrated juice is not really a preferred choice. Guess what, from setting up machine, cutting watermelon, juicing and also WASHING, it took me 30 mins to complete. Cool huh... You can try, maybe you can do it faster than me.

Watermelon juice can be very cleansing so it is better for pregnant woman not to drink too much. But it is very good for MEN when you have problem having offspring. Thanks to watermelon, I have my 1st child.... to be continue....

Fruit Roll


The equipments that I cannot go without now is BLENDER, JUICER and DEHYDRATOR. I love high water content food like fresh fruits and vegetable. They are easy to digest and I don't have to drink much fluid after a meal. Anyway, you are not suppose to drink fluid after a meal which will wash away the digestive juice in your stomach. I just started dehydrating when I am working on what type of healthy raw snacks that are available for my child. I have a fruit roll here as shown in the picture and it is made of MANGO, BANANAS, DRY APRICOT. Just blend them up and dehydrate them for about 12 hours. It is raw and naturally sweet without any addition sweetner. Raw food will have better nutritious than cooked food. For fruits, never cook them. They turned acidic once cooked. We want alkaline food! You can try to play with other recipes once you have tried this, it can be fun and tasty.

Why raw snacks?


Hey, do you have worries for your kids eating too much junk food and getting obese? Do you always restrict your kids from having too much snacks like chocolates, sweets, cookies and ice cream??? Have trouble getting your kids to eat fruits or vegetables? After having a child, I asked myself, what will I do if my kids whine and ask for this and that, in my heart, i will say "No, not too much sweet stuff, it is not good for you" And you will have a big headache rejecting and talking to your kids. Or hid vegetables in their porridge and rice and hope that they will eat them up? No, they will dig out and throw them aside, kids are getting more clever nowadays. "Mummy, don't put funny stuff in my porridge" I wanted to laugh when my friend told me her kid's response. This is where I started and wanted to make some delicious, healthy snacks for my kids. I don't have to worry that they snack too much. They are raw and with natural sweetness from dried fruits. RAW is also a key WORD for more nutritious which is not destroyed by the high temperature through cooking. Raw Snacks for sales coming up... Stay tuned....
